![]() ![]() ![]() If you appreciate the humor that comes with the intentionally bad graphics and the awkwardly easy gameplay, this game is a must-try for those precious minutes of fun. It does, however, deliver in terms of fun and entertainment value. It’s Sonic the Hedgehog tossed through a hilarious filter. Just for funĪs a parody game, it’s hard to expect a serious story or gameplay elements from Sunky the Game. You have to rush to an escape pod that will carry you to safety, avoiding spikes that don't kill Sunky but slow him down. It’s the only part in the game that offers a slight challenge to players. Display options > Texture options > Texture filter mode: None (linear mipmap) By default, GZDoom uses linear upscaling on all sprites and textures, turning them into a blurry mess. It doesn’t reflect much in the game, except for the final part’s showdown. Absolute necessities I do not understand how anyone could argue with these. Story-wise, it also follows the same story of Sunky trying to stop Dr. This comes across as boring for some players looking for action. Also, most traps in the game appear to conveniently avoid harming your character, making the first stages unusually easy to finish. Sunky also can’t jump high, but will conveniently extend his arms to climb platforms. This is the opposite of how Sonic runs fast in video games. Then, in blatant opposition to the original, Sunky moves very slowly. Despite its simplistic, 90s era aesthetic, the backgrounds are animated and they help create a weird, funny feel for the entire game. The default cap is 200FPS when using GZDoom for the first time. You can type vidmaxfps into the console and have an integer between 35 to 1000. The first thing players will notice with Sunky the Game is the low-quality attempts to reproduce the designs of the characters and stages from the original Sonic property, including the usual enemies and even the game’s big bad, Dr. However, you can leave a side-note to take into account that going over the frequency the monitor can provide May lead to tearing if the GPU driver won't fix on its own end. ![]()
